Many centuries ago, the peasants from Lisa built various technical plants operated by hydraulic power supplied by the river Lisa that flows alongside the village: mills for flour, obtained by grinding the cereal grains, devices for extracting the oil from the seeds, sawmills for cutting the logs of wood, installations for processing thick wooden fabrics and distillery boilers for brandy.
