The river Olt crosses the south-eastern part of the region of Rupea in the area of the following villages: Racos, Dopca, Bogata, Hoghiz, Fantana, Ungra, Crihalma. In this area, the inhabitants would catch fish using traditional fishing tools, manufactured by themselves in accordance to the season, water level, the fishing calendar and species, such as carp, sheatfish, pike, broad snout, chub, barbel, crucian carp, perch, bream, red-eye, bleak, fry. Some of the fishermen had a boat locally named cin , that was used for fishing, as well as for crossing from one bank to the other of the river Olt.
